Two stories this week make you wonder what this country is coming to. The first: A 95 year old woman in a wheelchair was checked at an airport by theTSA. She is very sick, and her daughter explained the grim details. It seems an inspector detected something under her clothes. She was actually wearing a diaper because of her sick status. The TSA said this was a justifiable procedure. Justifiable? Oh really! The agency is becoming paranoid in their quest for the perfect maniac. This event is not something out of the ordinary. Little children have also been shaken down at airports. It is true that a terrorist can pose as anybody who normally would not arouse suspicion; however in the case of an old woman, whose health is failing, this is overboard. Perhaps the screeners should check themselves every now and then
The second: A woman is arrested for shooting video's of cops through the window of her own house. I do not know the circumstances that lead to her arrest, but never the less, it's a peciliar event. Suppose, just suppose she decided to flee and travel to another state. Would she have been on America's Most Wanted?
These two events are alarming due to the fact that they occurred in the good ole' USA. It just gets better and better, but at the rate we are going, the best is yet to come.
